Adriana Ugarte

        Adriana Sofia Ugarte Pardal, born on 17 January, 1985, is a Spanish actress. Her principal roles on the television show La Senora (El tiempo entre costuras) are among her most famous. Ugarte was the main character in the Pedro Almodovar film Julieta. Adriana Sofia Ugarte Pardal, the daughter of Yolanda Pardal (a lawyer and writer) was born in Madrid on 17 January, 1985. She is the granddaughter of Eduardo Ugarte Pardal, who worked with Luis Bunuel. He was also married to a daughter of Carlos Arniches. She was a student at Colegio del Pilar, Madrid. She was accepted into Complutense University of Madrid's Licentiate program in Philosophy and Arts. But, she was forced to leave the program, and later resumed her studies at the National University of Distance Education. Ugarte aged 16 was first seen in the film Mala Espina (2001) and directed by and winning the Award for the Best Female Performance at the Alcala of Henares Festival of Short Films. She was a schizophrenic teenager. Her guest roles include those in Policias in el Corazon de la Calle, Hospital Central, and El comisario. In her role as Consuelo, in Cabeza de Perro (2006) directed by Santi Amoto and Santi Amoto, she was nominated for the Goya Award to Best New Actress. Ugarte's exceptional performance as Victoria Marquez de la Vega in the TV series La Senora (aired 2008-1010) brought her immense acclaim. She also appeared in El juego del ahorcado with Clara Lago, Alvaro Cervantes and Alvaro Cervantes the year after. Castillos de carton (2010) was directed by Salvador Garcia Ruiz. It included Nilo Mur, Biel Duran and Lo contrario al amor (2010). In the Telecinco mini-series Ninos Robados (Telecinco) she was Susana.
