        Adriana Lima, Portuguese pronunciation 12 June 1981, is an Brazilian model and actress. She has been a Victoria's secret Angel from 1999. The longest-running Victoria's Secret Angel and was named in 2017 "the most important Victoria's Secret Angel". Her fame is based on her role as model and spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics, and also for her Super Bowl commercials and Kia Motors commercials. Lima was just 15 when she was crowned Ford's Supermodel of Brazil competition. Then she was second place in the Ford Supermodel of the World contest. Following that, she was signed by Elite Model Management in New York City. Models.com currently lists Lima as one of the "New Supers". Lima is the second highest-paid model on the planet since 2014. Lima was ranked 4th on the Forbes list of the top models to earn money in 2012 and made $7.3 million in a single year. She came in 3rd place in 2013 and 2nd in 2014, earning $8 million. With earnings of $9 million she finished 2nd in 2015. Lima remained in second position with earnings of US$10.5million in 2016. Lima was the brand ambassador of Desigual the clothing company located in Barcelona. She was the spokesperson for Desigual for both the Calzedonia Beachwear collection as well as the Sport max collection of ready-to-wear. She is the IWC ambassador at present. Lima was born in Salvador, Bahia (Brazil) on June 12, 1981. Numerous sources claim Lima's middle name was Francesca however Lima claimed that she was not aware of it during an interview on W Radio Colombia in 2010. She claimed she believes that Adriana Lima is her real name.
