Abraham Benjamin de Villiers

 Abraham Benjamin de Villiers, born 17 February 1984 is a former professional South African cricketer. De Villiers was named as the ICC ODI Player of the Year three times during his 15-year international career and was one of the five Wisden cricketers of the decade at the end of 2019.AB de Villiers began his international career as a wicket-keeper-batsman, but he has played most often solely as a batsman. He batted at various positions within the batting line-up and was primarily in the middle order. De Villiers is regarded as one of the most innovative and destructive batsmen of the modern time, and is also considered to be one of the best of all time. He is also known for his unique shots, especially in the direction of the wicket-keeper. De Villiers made his international debut in a game against England in 2004. In 2005, he participated in his first One Day International. The first time he played in Twenty20 International cricket was in the year 2006. He has scored over 8,000 runs during Test cricket and ODI cricket. He is also among the few players to have an average batting of more than fifty in both formats. He is a strong player in limited-overs cricket. In just 31 balls, his record is the fastest ODI century. De Villiers was captain of South Africa across all three formats. After suffering an injury in a series the captain was forced to quit the Test captaincy.
