2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is an American hip hop and rapper artist. He is a native of Georgia He began his musical career by forming the hip hop duo Playaz Circle, along with an old high school buddy. Their debut album 'Supply & Demand" was a modest success. Epps followed that with 'Based on an T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200, it became a tremendous success. It sold 147,000 copies within the initial week. After the album's release, he has not been looking back and has now become one of the top hip-hop artists in the US. He has been nominated for six Grammy categories, and of these one has been won for "No Problem." He kindled controversy in 2013 when he was arrested on board in a departing flight at the Los Angeles International Airport as his bag included promethazine and marijuana. However, his brushes with law enforcement haven't impacted his popularity in any way. His fourth and current studio album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was released in June 2017. "Based on an R.U. Story, 2 Chainz’s debut studio album could be considered to be his first major project and also his most successful. The album was an enormous success and climbed to the top of the US Billboard 200. The album also sold 147,000 copies within a few weeks. In the course of the course of the year, it sold more than 623,000 copies. The album, with hit singles such as 'No Lie", 'Birthday Song', and'I'm Different' was also nominated for 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. The reviews were not all positive. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. They have three children: Heaven, Harmony and Halo. He has had a long and prosperous career, but is known for his inclination to get into legal trouble. He has been arrested multiple times for drug possession.
